What's New In Our Site?

As we enter into the second year of the new Millennium, the St. Francis Literature and Fine Arts Society is committed to introducing all visitors to Botticelli's Vision to fresh and sublime new material.  Our goal is to enhance your knowledge and enjoyment of Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Christian thought and the Fine Arts. To that end, we have added an intriguing  new essay by Don Williams to the Literary Essays section of the web site entitled "Sir Gareth of Orkney: The Making of a Knight." This critical essay of one of  Thomas Malory's Arthurian tales examines the important  dynamics  of chivalry among the European aristocracy during the Middle Ages.  Additionally, for your spiritual refreshment, we have added new illuminated versions of  several sacred works from the Pentateuch and the Pauline epistles and the Gospels .

As many of you may remember, this past November we launched the Botticelli's Vision Great Room, a virtual fine art gallery featuring great artistic works from Leonardo Da Vinci's "Ginevra de' Benci, Botticelli's "Modonna and Child" and a host of other delights.  For your continued pleasure, we have expanded the Great Room.  As always, we hope that you enjoy your  exploration of  Botticelli's Vision.  In the spirit of  the Middle Ages " we commend you to God".
