                    3.  Sharon's Page-  This comprehensive on-line reference is an excellent index

                         of web sites all over the world dedicated to Medieval and Renaissance

                         Studies.  This index includes many links to web sites sponsored by

                         museums, universities, non-profit organizations and private

                         enthusiast-Recommended by the History Channe.l

 

                    4.  Society for Creative Anachronism-  This site includes a plethora of 

                         information on Medieval and Renaissance reenactments and general

                         information on these two intriguing periods of world history. 

 

                    5.  Luminarium This award winning web site is replete with an abundance

                         of  resources for the serious student of  Medieval and Renaissance

                         Studies.  The  site also includes a limited but impressive on-line

                         bookstore.   

 

                   6.  Botticelli On-Line-  Search the Artcyclopedia site for a myriad of links to

                         on-line collections of Sandro Botticelli's works in collections around the

                         globe.  Simply key in "Botticelli" in the search window at Artcyclopedia's

                         site to follow these important links.      

 

                    7.  On Line Collection of Ancient Manuscripts/Oxford Univesity-  Site includes

                         digital facsimile copies of 80 ancient Manuscripts (scanned directly from the

                         originals). 

 

                    8.  Michelangelo.com-  This excellent resource is devoted to "all things

                         Michelangelo."  Site is replete with an abundance of information about

                         this unique Renaissance genius. 

 

                    9.  Shakespeare Os      This site is now a proud member of the Shakespeare

                         Os Web Ring, sponsored by Yahoo.com.  The ring includes numerous 

                         sites of  Shakespearean literature enthusiasts, exploring films, literature

                         and general criticism.      

 

                10.  Art of Renaissance Science- Explores the context in which Italian

                         Renaissance science arose, and how the mathematics of Galileo's

                         "new science" as he called it, was related to the great works of

                         Renaissance Italian painters and architects.        

 

                  11.  Annenberg/CPB Learner-  Journey back to a time of great discovery. 

                         Explore significant scientific, artistic and cultural developments during

                         the Renaissance.     

 

                12.   Investigating the Renaissance-  This site examines material aspects of

                        of  three early Netherlandish paintings using digital imaging

                        techniques.  The site is sponsored by Harvard University.
