Preface

During the Renaissance, the European intelligentsia  was blessed with a beautiful vision of the world.  This neo-classical vision was conceived and expressed by the great Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli (1477-78).  Botticelli's vision of the world, in the Florentine tradition,  was unique in approach of the sacred and the secular.   In this vision, both the rich literary traditions of the Hellenistic world and the divine mysteries and beauty of Christianity were held in great regard.  The good, noble and pure elements of human existence were celebrated, whether  sacred or secular. Botticelli seemed to realize that these elements were not mutually exclusive.

Come and join us as we explore  a vision of life devoted to intellectual aggrandizement and faith.  Such is the exquisite tapestry of Botticelli's Vision.
